You really don’t want to miss QBConnect this year- It’s going to be better than ever (and it was already pretty awesome). But don’t just take my word for it, here are just a few of the great things you can do during the three-day conference:
Take a deeper dive into QBO
New this year, there will not be QBO certification classes. Instead, there are sessions focused on learning more about certain aspects of QuickBooks Online like learning how to support clients using QuickBooks Self Employed, learning about new QBOA features, using QBO in various niche markets like not-profits and real estate – to name just a few. Still wondering whether QBO is right for you and your clients? There’s a session introducing QuickBooks Online to Accountants and Bookkeepers. Still need certification training? Come a day early and attend the live certification prep training event in San Jose.
Amazing Breakout Sessions
All of the Connect sessions are aimed at helping you take your practice to the next level. I’ll be teaching a class called The Intentional Firm, discussing how to proactively manage your firm’s service delivery workflow to improve profitability and strengthen your ability to provide exceptional service to your clients. Other breakout sessions cover everything from sales and marketing to HR to exploring niche markets. You can even tone your mind and body with yoga and meditation sessions!
Networking, Networking, Networking
From Women in Accounting to Millennial Meet-up there are special networking events scattered throughout. There are comfortable lounging areas throughout- perfect for starting up a conversion with a perfect stranger or having a brief pow-wow with longtime friends. Of course, there are also plenty of opportunities to meet other accountants from around the world during sessions, the welcome reception, and Connectfest.
While I’m talking about networking, can I just mention that Connect is full of small business users as well? You may end up meeting your next new client while dancing to live music at Connectfest!
Main Stage Speakers
Intuit has once again lined up an incredible group of speakers for their conference. Tyra Banks, Nate Berkus, Dave Gilboa, Julie Rice– and more. These diverse and amazing people are guaranteed to be instructive and stimulating– you’ll walk away from the last main stage session with a renewed sense of purpose.
The Exhibit Hall
Wander through the exhibit hall to find your next favorite app. Aero will be there- plus many other great apps and Intuit partners. Ask questions, get demos, pick up some good swag– just make sure you wear your walking shoes!
So make sure you pencil in QBConnect from November 15-17. Register before October 12 and save 30% off your registration fee!
